River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team hosted the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs Friday night.

How it Happened:
-Dominican had a great first set, wining the set 25-21. Dominican had 15 kills on 29 attacking attempts.
-Both UC Santa Cruz and Dominican had 5 attacking errors in the first set.
-DU and UCSC went back and forth in set two where the Stars fell 31-29. Dominican had 21 kills in the set.
-The Stars fell down 2-1 in sets after losing the third set to the score of 25-21. Dominican could not overcome 7 total errors in the set.
-The wheels fell off in the fourth and final set as DU only had 8 kills in the final set.
-Losing set four 25-18 and 3-1 in sets.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Casey Goss led the Stars with 19 kills on 40 attacks.
Junior
Owen Morrow set his teammates up to the tune of 40 assists while also recording an ace and 5 digs.
-Junior
Aaron Marrs was all over the floor collecting 13 kills , 1 assist, 1, ace, 1.5 blocks, and 6 digs.
-Senior
Jarod Hesse had 11 kills and 5 digs.

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will be back in the Igini Sports Forum for a mach up against Illinois Wesleyan University. The match will start at 7:00 p.m.
