Rockford, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team traveled to Rockford University Wednesday night to face off against the Regents.

How it Happened:
-Dominican brought the momentum from the previous game, and started off hot winning 25-16. The Stars had 15 kills in the first set.
-Junior
Casey Goss was getting whatever he wanted in the first set, recording 5 kills.
-DU came out hot in the second set winning 25-14, but Dominican only recorded 5 kills in the whole set.
-The Stars had 8 service aces in the set with Goss, Junior
Jason Kougan, Freshman Ty Geshke, and Junior
Tanner Dahman all recording an ace.
-DU shut the door winning the third and final set to the score of 25-23. Dominican had 12 kills in the set.
-The Stars had a balance attack in the final set with 6 different players recording a kill.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Casey Goss was out in front again for the Stars with 8 kills, 4 services aces, and 8 digs.
Junior
Owen Morrow had 19 assists .
-Senior
Jarod Hesse had 8 kills, a service ace and 4 digs.

Grant Henderson led the team with 11 digs

The Dominican University men's volleyball team will be back in the Igini Sports Forum Saturday afternoon. Where the Stars will take on the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College. The match will begin at 1:00 p.m.
