River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team hosted the #4 seeded MSOE Raiders in the semi-finals NACC conference tournament.

How it Happened:
-The Stars fell behind early losing the first set 25-20. DU had 14 kills on 30 attempts in the set, and only 3 errors.
-The second set told the same story with the Raiders winning 25-22. Dominican had 13 kills in the set.
-This being the second time this year the Stars fell behind 2 sets to none.
-DU was able to extend the match after winning the third set in a close one 27-25. The Stars had 14 kills on 42 attempts in the set.
-Dominican relied on two players in this set. Junior
Casey Goss, and Freshman
Ty Geschke. Both Geschke and Goss had 5 kills in the set, combining for 10 of the 14 kills in the must win set.
-The Stars were able to dig themselves out of the 2-0 hole by winning the fourth set 25-20. Dominican had a team high 18 kills in the set on 30 attempts.
-DU had Sophomore
Michael Greco get some big time kills in the set, with 4 of them.
-This brought the game to a win or go home set between the Stars and Raiders.
-Dominican had 8 kills on 13 attempts in the final set, and only one error.
-The Stars wont the 5
th set 15-9.
- DU had the Senior
Jarod Hesse get going in the right time, with Hesse collecting 4 of the 8 kills in the set.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Casey Goss led the Stars with 22 kills and 3 services aces. Goss also collected 10 digs.
-Freshman
Ty Geschke has continued to shine in the second half of the year. Geschke picked up 15 kills on 25 attempts, and had 2 blocks in the match.
-Senior
Jarod Hesse had 13 kills in the match and 7 digs.
-Sophomore
Michael Greco had 10 kills and a block.
-Junior
Jason Kougan was doing a little bit of everything for Dominican picking up 5 kills, 2 blocks, and 6 digs.
-Junior
Owen Morrow collected 54 assists tonight to go along with 6 digs.

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will continue to the finals of the NACC tournament. This match will be Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. The Stars will host the #2 seeded Aurora University Spartans in the Igini Sports Forum.
