Milwaukee, Wis. – The Dominican University softball team took their 8-0 conference to MSOE for a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
Game 1 Results:
Dominican: 2
MSOE:0
How it Happened:
-Dominican went 1-2-3 in the top of the first inning, but in the second inning DU was able to scratch across the first run of the game. This came off the bat of Freshman
Kailee Diaz Randall on a single to center field.
-The Stars got their second run of the ball game when Sophomore
Ryley Davis hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield, driving in Junior
Emma Woodhouse.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Kayla Faber-Cournane started in the circle for the Stars and was dominate. Faber-Cournane threw a scoreless complete game, and only allowed 5 hits in the entirety of the game. Faber-Cournane also collected 2 strikeouts.
-Freshman
Kailee Diaz Randall went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
-Sophomore
Ryley Davis brought in an RBI on a sacrifice fly.
-Junior
Emma Woodhouse went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

Game 2 Results:
Dominican: 5
MSOE: 6
How it Happened:
-The Raiders were able to get on the board first, and in big fashion scoring 5 runs on 6 hits in the bottom of the 1st.
-Dominican offense was held scoreless until Freshman
Kailee Diaz Randall scored on a past ball in the 3
rd.
-DU was able to scratch two more runs across in the 4
th inning. The first with Senior
Geneva Pollman singling to right field, and the second came off the bat of Junior Lily Santoyo on a single to right field.
-The Stars climbed all the way back and tied the game in the top of the 5
th with Junior
Emma Woodhouse singling to left field and brining home two runs.
-The game remained tied until the bottom of the 6
th when MSOE scored a run on 3 hits.
-Dominican went into the 7
th inning down by a run.
-The offense for DU threatened getting runners on 2
nd and 3
rd but was unable to get a run across the board.
This is the first conference loss of the season for Dominican.

What's Next:
The Dominican University softball team will look to avenge their first conference loss of the season tomorrow afternoon. When the Stars host the Spartans of Aurora University for a doubleheader. First pitch of game one will be at 12:00 p.m.
