River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team hosted the Muskies of Lakeland University for the first match of the NACC conference tournament.

How it Happened:
-The Stars jumped out and won the first set to the score of 25-21, and picked up 14 kills on 30 total attacking attempts. 7
-DU was able to get Junior Casey Goss going offensively in the first set. Where Goss recorded 7 kills.  
-Dominican kept all of the momentum and dominated in the second set winning 25-12. Dominican had 11 kills in the set, and able to take advantage of 9 errors by the Muskies. 4k
-The second set was highlighted by the Freshman Ty Geschke who had 4 kills and a block in the set.  
-The Stars shut the door in the final set 25-11 collecting 11 kills, and only having one error the entire set.  
-This set was a block party for DU collecting 7 of them. Dominican was getting blocks from Sophomore Michael Greco, Junior Owen Morrow, Junior Jason Kougan Geschke, and Goss. Greco was involved in 6 of the 7 blocks.


Shining Stars:
-Junior Casey Goss led the Stars with 13 kills on 22 attempts. Goss also had 5 digs, and 5 blocks.  
-Freshman Ty Geschke was right behind Goss with 11 kills on 20 attempts. Geschke also collected 2 blocks.   
-Sophomore Michael Greco was the leader of the block party with 6 of them, and picked up 4 kills.  
-Junior Jason Kougan picked up 5 blocks and 2 digs.
-Junior Owen Morrow led the team with 31 assists. Morrow alos added 3 blocks, and 7 digs to his name.

What's Next: 
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will continue on to the semi-finals of the NACC tournament, where they will play at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night right back in the Igini Sports Forum. The Stars will be playing the winner of MSOE and CUW.
