Stars Lose Season Opener on the Road

Chicago, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team traveled to University of Chicago to face off against the Maroons. In the Stars season opener.

Results:

How it Happened:
-The Stars and Maroons had a slow start to this one, feeling each other out in the match. Freshman Tia Garr got the first shot of the game for DU.
-UChicago gained all momentum after that scoring the first goal of the game in the 29th minute of the game.
-The score would be 1-0 in favor of the Maroons going into the half.
 -Dominican hung in there to start the half but gave up two Chicago goals in a span of three minutes. Getting the score to 3-0 in favor of UChicago. This would be the final score.
The Stars could not get much going on the offensive side of the ball only mustering up 3 total shots, but 2 of them were on the target.

Shining Stars:
-Junior Mia Dosen had 1 shot, and this shot on target.
-Freshman Presley Coles had her first shot of her collegiate career and it was on goal.
-Freshman Tia Garr collected her first shot of her collegiate career.

What's Next:
