Lisle, Ill. – The Dominican University women's volleyball team traveled to Benedictine University to face-off against the Eagles. For the Stars second conference game of the season.
Results:
Benedictine: 3
Dominican: 0
How it Happened:
-Dominican came out in the first set collecting 8 kills, but could not overcome 4 errors, and 14 kills by Benedictine. BenU won the set 25-15.
-The Stars were able to get Senior
Tanya De La Riva going early with her collecting 4 kills in the first set.
-DU figured somethings out in the second set, but still fell short 25-20. While, collecting 6 kills but had 7 errors in the set.
-The Stars were not able to bounce back after falling two sets to none. Losing the final set 25-12. They collected 7 kills in the set, but once again had game high 8 errors.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Tanya De La Riva led the Stars with 7 kills, and 11 digs.
-Junior
Veronica Henkel had 11 digs on the night.
-Senior
Miriam Guler had 11 digs and an assist in the match.
-Senior
Adeleen Dunker led Dominican with 11 assists.
-Senior
Mia Febles had 2 service aces which was a team high.

What's Next:
The Dominican University women's volleyball team will begin a five-game home stand on Saturday afternoon. The Stars will host the Hornets of Kalamazoo College. First serve will be at 12:00 pm. In the Igini Sports Forum.
