River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team hosted the University Wisconsin La Crosse Eagles to open up the first game of the Dominican Invite.

How it Happened:
-Both team were feeling each other out in the first ten minutes of the game. DU had the lead in shots with 2 compared to the 1 for the Eagles. Sophomore

Sarah Matuszek had those shots.
-That was the action in the first half with the score being scoreless going into the half.
-The second half started fast though with Wisconsin La Crosse earning a penalty two minutes into the half and converting on the penalty to make the score 1-0.
-UWL found another goal just 2 minutes late to make the score 2-0.
-DU was able to fire off 10 shots in the second half, but none of them finding the back of the net.
-Cuddihy and the Stars had a goal taken off the board from a set piece due to Dominican being offsides.

Grace Larson each fired off 3 shots in the match. Â Â

Sarah Grimmett made 8 saves in the match. Â
