River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball hosted North Park University for their 2025 home opener.

How it Happened:
-The Stars would jump out to an early 7-4 lead due to back-to-back aces from Senior
Tanner Dahman.
-DU would protect the lead and take Set 1, 25-16. Senior
Jason Kougan tallied one kill, one ace, and two blocks in the frame.
-In the second set, the two squads would trade points up to the mid-point of the frame, with Freshman
Kendall Esparza giving Dominican a 17-14 lead.
-The Stars would close out Set 2 25-20. Senior
Casey Goss led DU with 5 kills and a block in the 2
nd set.
-Both sides would be knotted at 12 in Set 3, but a Vikings service error and a block from Kougan and Sophomore
Ty Geschke gave the Stars a 14-12 lead.
-Dominican would pull away and claim the sweep over North Park with the 3
rd set ending 25-20 in favor of DU.
-Geschke totaled 3 kills and two blocks in the set, while Junior
Michael Greco posted 3 total blocks and a kill.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Casey Goss paced the Stars with 13 kills with a .400 hitting%.
-Senior
Tanner Dahman tallied 6 kills, 4 digs, 3 aces, and a block.
- Freshman
Kendall Esparza collected 4 kills, 3 digs, and an ace.

Owen Morrow had 28 assists and 7 digs.
-Junior

Dominican University Men's Volleyball improves to 2-2 on the campaign. The Stars will be back on home court Thursday, January 30
