Fond Du Lac, Wis. – The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Marian University to face the Sabres looking for a win streak with their first away matchup since January 8th.

How it Happened:
-The Stars recorded the first basket of the game with a layup from Freshman Braydon Murphy assisted by Senior Daniel Nennig.
-The Sabres went on a streak taking the lead 9-5. DU would answer back with back-to-back threes from Junior Dominic Crapia and Junior Dean O'Brien.
-With 10 minutes left in the first half Marian would go on a little run while also holding the stars to only scoring 3 points until the last three minutes.
-The Sabres would keep the lead to end the first half 36-26. DU shot 40% from the field and 45% from 3-point line.
-Dominican got their first points two minutes into the second half with a layup by O'Brien.
-The Stars were facing a 13-point deficit with 12 minutes left. Senior Quante May started the scoring run fro DU with a three pointer.
-5th year Senior Cam Scott cut the deficit to six with back to back dunks with eight minutes left.
-Dominican took the lead with two minutes left after Senior Terrell Taylor knocks down 3 straight free throws. Making the score 73-70 in favor of DU.
-Marian was trying to extend the game facing a three-point Dominican lead with 20 seconds left.
-Senior Daniel Nennig put the nail in the coffin hitting two free throws with four seconds left.
-DU shot 23 free throws in the second half and made 20 of them.
-The Stars won 44-14 in bench points.
Shining Stars:
-5th Year Student Camron Scott led the team with 25 points and 8 rebounds and went 8-8 in the field.
-Freshman Lucas Underwood bounced back from not scoring a point in the matchup against IIT to scoring 15 points tonight.
-Senior Terrell Taylor chipped in with nine points and 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
-Senior Quante May shot 3 for 5 from the floor and collected 8 points.
-Senior Daniel Nennig has continued to be all over the floor for Dominican collecting 8 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound and 2 steals.

The Dominican University mens basketball team will take their three game win streak down Division Street to face off with Rivals Concordia Chicago on Wednesday January 29th. Tip off between the Stars and the Cougars will be at 7:00 p.m..
