Chicago, Ill. – Dominican University Women's Soccer was on the road for its biggest test of the season so far at Illinois Tech on Wednesday.

How it Happened:
-Illinois Tech came out of the gates firing, but Sophomore
Gianna Stanek was up for the challenge in goal for Dominican, making 3 saves in the first 27 minutes of the contest.
-In the 29
th minute, Senior
Mia Dosen had DU's best chance of the first half, but her shot was saved by the Scarlet Hawks' keeper.
-IIT struck first on the brink of halftime, putting the Stars behind 1-0 heading into the break.
-The Scarlet Hawks added four goals between the 53
rd and 57
th minutes, extending their lead to 5-0.
-In the 69
th minute, Sophomore
Tia Garr had an effort on goal drift just high of the crossbar.
-Garr then won a penalty for DU in the 78
th minute. Dosen stepped up and buried her 4
th of the season, making it a 5-1 game.
-Dosen and the Stars pushed for more offense late, but would be held out the rest of the game by Illinois Tech.
-DU would fall by a final score of 5-1.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Mia Dosen tallied DU's lone goal of the day from the penalty spot and led the Stars with 3 shots, 2 of which found the target.
-Sophomore
Tia Garr notched a shot and logged all 90 minutes.
-Sophomore
Gianna Stanek made 10 saves in the defeat, a new season-high.

th, against Lakeland University. Kick-off will be at 12:00 p.m. and will be preceded by Senior Day festivities.
