Mequon, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's volleyball team traveled to Concordia Wisconsin to face off against the Falcons on Thursday night.

How it Happened:
-The Stars jumped out to a 6-4 run in the first set thanks to a service ace by Junior 
Kathryn Ksiezak, a kill by Senior 
Ellery Shea and a couple attacking errors by CUW.
-As the first set kept moving forward DU found themselves down 18-11, before getting kills by Senior 
Veronica Henkel to claw back into the set but fell 25-20 in the first set.
-The Falcons went on multiple runs in the second set and in a blink of an eye it went from 8-8 to 12-8 and then 18-11 to 21-11.
-Juniors 
Lily Broderick and 
Jillian Ross both recorded kills for the Stars in the set.
-Henkel started off hot for Dominican earning four kills to start the third set and giving DU an early 6-4 lead.
-Concordia Wisconsin then went on a 9-0 run that put the set out of reach.
Shining Stars:
-Senior 
Ellery Shea recorded a team high 11 kills in the match.
-Senior 
Veronica Henkel added 10 kills to her name with 11 digs.
-Freshman 
Karolina Stonkus collected 25 assists in the match.
-Junior 
Jillian Ross picked up 2 solo blocks.

What's Next:
Dominican University Women's Volleyball is now 2-18 (1-9 NACC) on the season. The Stars will be back on the road Saturday afternoon for their final road contest of the season. DUWVB will be at Marian University for a 1:00 p.m. first serve.
