Men's Soccer Looks to Bounce Back at Aurora

River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Soccer team gets back to NACC play on Wednesday at Aurora.

Series History vs. Aurora:
All-Time Record / Streak: 21-3-10 / T5
-Dominican and Aurora first played in Aurora, Illinois on 10/8/2002 (W, 10-0), which was DU's largest margin of victory over the Spartans.
-The Stars last win against Aurora came at home on 4/25/2021 (3-0).
-DU averages 2.38 goals per game against the Spartans.
-Dominican and Aurora last played on 9/18/2024. The match resulted in a 1-1 draw.

DU in Review:
-DU holds a 4-5-2 (4-1 NACC) record this season.

-Junior Ciaran Geraghty has anchored the backline for DU, leading the squad with 990 minutes played.
-Freshman Cody Leyba has tallied 34 saves throughout the season.
-Senior Ryan Gutierrez has been a staple in the midfield with 2 goals and has started in all 11 matches. Gutierrez has 871 minutes played.
 
Familiar Faces:
-Sophomore Nathan Lara is back to don the Navy and Gold as the leading goal scorer among returners from last season with 2. Lara appeared in 6 matches and notched a start during the 2024 campaign.
-Sophomore Jonathan Almaguer returns to the midfield for DU. Almaguer registered a goal and an assist in 14 appearances last season.
-Senior Brendan Gavin resumes his place as the holding midfielder for the Stars. Gavin posted 15 appearances and logged 776 minutes in 2024.
-Junior Ciaran Geraghty looks to step in as a permanent fixture in Dominican's back four after charting 16 appearances and a goal last season.
