River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Women's Soccer team looked to extend their five-game win streak against the Spartans of Aurora University.

How it Happened:
-The Stars put the pressure on early, as Senior
Mia Dosen and Freshman
Evelyn Salazar combined for four shots on target within the first 19 minutes.
-Senior
Natalia Lopez had a shot on target saved by the Spartan keeper in the 23
rd minute.
-In the 39
th minute, DU won a free kick just outside the penalty area. Senior
Sarah Matuszek stepped up and belted a shot into the upper left-hand corner to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.
-Senior Mia Tauilahu had a shot denied by Aurora's keeper shortly after in the 41
st minute.
-Dominican took its 1-0 lead into the break. Sophomore
Gianna Stanek made two saves in the first half.
-Aurora tied up the game at 1-1 in the 50
th minute.
-In the 55
th minute, Matuszek sprung the Stars on a counterattack, where Senior
Sierra Rioux crossed the ball into the box right in the path of Dosen, who put away the tap-in and put Dominican back on top 2-1.
-Matuszek continued to hunt for offense and drew a penalty in the 60
th minute. Lopez stepped up and calmly slotted home the chance and doubled DU's lead to 3-1.
-The Stars surged for more, but stout defending from the Spartans kept Dominican from a fourth.
-At full time, DU walked away victorious by a final score of 3-1.
-Dominican outshot Aurora 23-5 and had 7 corners to Aurora's 3.
-This marks the Stars' sixth consecutive win.

Sarah Matuszek was all over the pitch for Dominican, collecting a goal, an assist, 2 shots on target, and won a penalty.

Mia Dosen had a goal on 4 shots, 3 of which hit the target.

Sierra Rioux notched an assist on the goal by Dosen.
