Men's Basketball Continues Non-Conference Slate against Adrian

River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team will celebrate 'Tis the Week of Giving at home in a matinee contest against Adrian on Saturday.

Series History vs. Adrian:
All-Time Record / Streak: 0-1 / L1
-Dominican and Adrian's first and only contest was played last season on 12/16/2024 in Adrian, MI. (L, 79-71)
-Sophomore Lucas Underwood posted 16 points and was 4-10 from deep.
-Senior Dominic Crapia contributed 4 points off the bench.

DU in Review:
-The Stars are 1-6 (1-1 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-DU is 1-2 at home this campaign.
-Dominican closed the 2024-2025 season with an 8-17 record, including going 5-13 in conference and 5-8 at home.
-The Stars missed out on the NACC Tournament last season and are looking to make it back into the playoff picture for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.
-Head Coach Troy Tonsil enters his 3rd season at the helm of the Men's Basketball program at Dominican. Tonsil has amassed a career record of 18-32.

 
Last Time Out:
 -The Stars dropped their first of two matchups against Concordia Chicago on Wednesday at home by a final score of 72-61.
 -Freshman Elijah Daugherty posted career highs in points (18), 3-point field goals made (2), and free throws made (6).
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy notched 14 points and 9 rebounds.
-Sophomore Emmanuel Fuller tallied 9 points, 2 blocks, and was 4-5 from the field.  

Shining Stars:
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski has supplied solid minutes in the frontcourt for DU, as the Senior is 3rd on the squad in points per game (12.8), 4th in three-point field goals made (4), and is 5th  in total rebounds (18).
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy is averaging almost a double-double to start the season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 8.9, and is 2nd in points per game with 13.6
-Freshman Elijah Daugherty has provided a spark off the bench for Dominican this season. Daugherty is averaging 12.3 points per game and is shooting .409 from the field.
-Sophomore Frank Paszkowski leads the Stars in three-pointers made with 19 and is shooting .422 behind the arc while dropping 10.7 points per game.
-Freshman Chase LeFevre is the leading assist man for the Stars, collecting 14 so far in 2025-26.

Familiar Faces:
-Senior Dominic Crapia enters his 4th season as a reliable 3-point shooter for the Stars. Crapia shot .359 from beyond the arc in 2024-25 and is in the joint lead in returners with 28 3-pointers made.
-Sophomore Lucas Underwood had a successful start to his collegiate career last campaign, averaging 5.6 points per game and had 28 3-pointers made.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski will return as an integral part of Dominican's frontcourt. Pelszynski averaged 13.2 minutes per game last year alongside 4.5 points per game.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy looks to improve upon a strong freshman season, as the center chipped in 2.7 points per game alongside 2.5 rebounds per game in a more limited role.  

Scouting Report:
-Adrian is 1-6 to start the 2025-2026 season.
-The Bulldogs are 1-3 away from home.
-Adrian is currently on a five-game losing skid, with its last win coming on its opening night against Oberlin College (63-57).
-The Bulldogs average 72.5 points per game, shoot .421 from the field, .309 from three, and average 34.2 rebounds per game.
