Milwaukee, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's Basketball team continued on the road against Mount Mary on Tuesday for its third game in four days.

How it Happened:
-The Stars got off to a blistering start in the first, taking an 8-0 lead after a baseline jumper by Junior
Teagan Dahl.
-Freshman
Kennedy Yost and Sophomore Allanah Jackson added to the 15-3 DU lead at the midpoint of the first.
-Mount Mary ended the quarter on an 11-0 run, cutting the Dominican lead to 15-14 at the end of one.
-To start the second quarter, Dahl broke the 5+ minute scoring drought for the Stars, pushing the lead to 17-14.
-After the Blue Angels took a 21-20 lead, Freshman
Jaylani Hernandez knocked down a three to regain the advantage for DU.
-At the end of two quarters of play, both squads were knotted at 23-23.
-Both squads would jostle for the lead at the start of the third, but back-to-back three pointers by Freshman
Eva Herbig pushed the Stars' advantage to 35-28.
-Free throws by Junior
Lia Saunders and Junior Olivia Genthener, and a jumper by Senior
Kamila Gajkowska built up the Dominican lead to 40-30.
-Herbig's third three of the quarter gave DU a 43-32 lead heading into the final frame.
-Dominican fought to protect the lead down the stretch, including a clutch three made by Saunders in the final two minutes to extend the Stars' lead to 5 at 53-48 after Mount Mary clawed back into the game.
-Saunders and Yost were able to put the game on ice at the free throw line as the Stars left Milwaukee with a 60-48 win over the Blue Angels.
-Dahl and Saunders combined for 13 of DU's 17 points in the fourth.
-The Stars shot 30.0% from the field, 25.0% from three, and 70.6% at the line.

Teagan Dahl paced the Stars with a career-high 18 points and added 8 rebounds.
-Junior
Lia Saunders posted 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
-Freshman
Eva Herbig totaled 9 points, all of them coming from deep.
-Freshman
Kennedy Yost stuffed the stat sheet with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
-Sophomore Allanah Jackson chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.

What's Next:
Dominican University Women's Basketball improved to 5-5 on the 2025-2026 season and is 0-3 in NACC play. DU has an extended break for the holidays and will return to the Igini Sports Forum for its next contest on Tuesday, December 30th,
in the second of two games against Monmouth College. Tip-off against the Scots is slated for 1:00 p.m.
