Stars Outlasted by Raiders

Milwaukee, Wis. – Dominican University Men's Basketball was back on the road to face off against the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders.

  Results
Dominican: 76
MSOE: 86

  How it Happened:
  -Freshman Lucas Underwood scored DU's first five points of the contest after converting a lay-up and knocking down a three. 
  -Both squads would be knotted at 18 after 5th-year Student Camron Scott would knock down a pair of free throws.
  -After a run from MSOE, 5th-year Student Andre Bennett would connect from deep to tie the game at 27 all.   
  -The Stars would head into halftime trailing MSOE, 35-39.
  -2nd half starts here   
  -Senior Daniel Nennig and Scott would combine to score Dominican's first eight points of the 2nd half as DU trailed 43-48.
  -Underwood, Bennett, and Senior Terrell Taylor would each hit a three to keep the Stars within striking distance down the stretch.
  - MSOE would pull away with two and a half minutes remaining in the contest.
  -Dominican would ultimately fall by a final of 76-86.
  -The Stars were perfect from the free throw line for the first time this season, going 18 of 18.

  Shining Stars:
  -5th-year Student Camron Scott paced the Stars with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
  -5th-year student Andre Bennett totaled 15 points and was 2-3 from behind the arc.  
  - Freshman Lucas Underwood provided 13 points and 2 steals.  
  -Senior Daniel Nennig tallied 10 points on 4-6 from the field.

  What's Next:
  Dominican University Men's Basketball moves to 7-16 on the season with a 4-12 conference record. The Stars will close out their regular season with back-to-back home games, with the first being against Edgewood on Wednesday, February 15th. Tip-off at the Igini Sports Forum will be at 7:00 p.m.
