River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball welcomed Marian University to the Igini Sports Forum on Alumni Night.

How it Happened:
-The Stars would jump out to an early 6-3 lead in the 1
st set.
-DU would then use a 5-0 run from Senior
Owen Morrow to take a 13-5 lead, eventually closing out the 1
st, 25-13. Senior
Jason Kougan totaled 3 blocks in the set, with Senior
Tanner Dahman adding 2 blocks of his own.
-Dominican would begin Set 2 with a 3-0 lead before extending their advantage to 15-9.
-The Stars would win the 2
nd, 25-14. Sophomore
Ty Geschke had a dominant set, collecting 8 kills, a block, and an ace.
-Marian would fight back to begin Set 3, taking a 2-5 lead early.
-The Stars would bounce back and complete the sweep over Marian, winning the 3
rd set, 25-21. Senior
Casey Goss posted 5 kills and 2 blocks in the final frame.
-Dominican hit .349 collectively in the match to Marian's .171 while out-blocking the Sabres 8-1 and having 6 aces to none.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Ty Geschke led the Stars with 16 kills on .464 hitting. Geschke also added 2 aces and 5 digs.
-Senior
Casey Goss tallied 9 kills and 2 blocks.
-Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch collected 6 kills and a block.
-Senior
Owen Morrow registered 30 assists and 7 digs.
-Sophomore
Grant Henderson totaled 10 digs to lead DU's defense.

What's Next:
Dominican University Men's Volleyball improves to 5-6 on the season and is 2-0 in NACC play. The Stars will be host Aurora University on Thursday, February 27
th for the Blue Out match. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
