River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Women's Basketball hosted Wisconsin Lutheran College on National Girls & Women in Sports Day.

How it Happened:
-The Stars would get the first points of the game with Graduate Student
Melissa Gomez hitting a jump shot, this bucket was assisted by Junior
Kamila Gajkowska.
-Right after the DU bucket WLC went on a run of 14-1, putting the score to 14-3 with 3:38 left in the first quarter.
-DU would trail 25-9 by the end of the 1
st quarter.
-Dominican would get their first points in the second quarter with Freshman
Chenoa Moss hitting two free-throws with 7:28 to play in the half.
-Sophomore
Kaitlyn Milison knocked down her first bucket of the game with 4 to play in the half.
-Dominican would go into the half trailing to the score of 43-15.
-The Stars came out from the break with intensity getting the first five points of the quarter. The first bucket was by Gomez, and the second was a three-point bucket from Freshman
Danielle Washington.
-DU had their best offensive quarter in the game in the third scoring 14 points on 31% shooting from the floor.
-Freshman
Elizabeth McCabe returned from injury and scored 4 points in the fourth quarter.

Melissa Gomez led the Stars with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Danielle Washington totaled 6 points by hitting two threes.

Chenoa Moss went 4-5 from the charity stripe and collected 6 points and 5 rebounds.

Dominican University Women's Basketball will head on a two-game road trip. The first game being at Lakeland University on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off between the Stars and the Muskies is set for 3:15 p.m.
