Plymouth, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's Basketball team traveled to Lakeland University for their first home game since late January.

How it Happened:
-Sophomore
Lia Saunders got the scoring going for Dominican getting a bucket with under eight minutes to go in the first quarter.
-Dominican hit 3 threes on three possessions cutting their deficit to just 1 point, with Freshman
Maya Kasuboski hitting two of them.
-Lakeland went on a run to end the first quarter and took a 23-11 lead to the second.
-The Stars had a fantastic second quarter shooting 46% from the field and getting contributions from everyone. Players to score in the quarter, Graduate Student

-Washington and Kasuboski led the way for DU in the first half with 6 points, both hit two threes.
-The Stars faced a 39-28 deficit going into the break.
-Freshman
Chenoa Moss found her groove after the halftime break scoring 5 points in the quarter. The Stars and The Muskie's defense tightened up in the third with only 23 total points.
-The fourth was the complete opposite though, with 45 total points in the quarter.
-Sophomore
Kaitlyn Milison caught fire for DU scoring 3 of the first 5 buckets in the fourth.
-The Stars pushed the game to a one-possession game with 5 minutes to play, after Gomez hit a fast-break layup.
-Lakeland pushed their lead back out to 7 points with two and a half minutes to play.
-Kasuboski would cut the deficit to just 3 after a made three with 30 seconds left.
-The Muskies iced the game from the charity stripe in the final 10 seconds of the game.
-Dominican won every quarter of the game, except the first one.
-The Stars shot 35% from the floor.

Melissa Gomez had a bounce-back game with 16 points on 8-12 shooting from the charity stripe.
-Sophomore
Kaitlyn Milison recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
-Freshman
Chenoa Moss tallied 10 points in her 16 minutes of game time.
-Freshman
Maya Kasuboski had her best game in her young collegiate career scoring 10 points on 3-4 shooting from downtown.
-Sophomore
Lia Saunders did the dirty work for DU today collecting 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.

What's Next:
Dominican University Women's Basketball moves to 5-16 on the season and a 1-11 record in the conference. The Stars will be back on the road Wednesday night as they travel to Rockford University. Tip-off between the Stars and the Regents is set for 7:00 p.m.
