River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball hosted Concordia University Wisconsin at the Igini Sports Forum on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
-DU would struggle to pull away from CUW, taking a 14-12 advantage in Set 1 after a kill from Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch.
-The Stars would edge out a 26-24 win in the 1
st set on the back of 6 kills and a solo block from Freshman
Kendall Esparza.
-A 7-0 run from Sophomore
Ty Geschke gave Dominican a 15-6 lead in Set 2.
-DU took down CUW in the 2
nd set, 25-16. Senior
Aaron Marrs totaled 4 kills in the frame.
-A tight start to Set 3 saw each squad knotted at 15-15.
-The Stars would close out CUW in the 3
rd and sweep the match, 26-24. Esparza and Marrs combined for 13 kills in the final set.
-DU hit .379 collectively, their 2
nd highest mark in this category this season.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Aaron Marrs posted a season-high 16 kills on .355 hitting.
-Freshman
Kendall Esparza totaled a career-high 16 kills on .577 hitting along with 3 digs and a solo block.
-Sophomore
Ty Geschke notched 10 kills, an ace, and 8 digs.
-Senior
Owen Morrow collected 39 assists in the sweep.
-Junior
Tyler Vrska was strong in the back row for Dominican, tallying 8 digs.

What's Next:
Dominican University Men's Volleyball improved to 11-8 on the season and is 7-1 in NACC play. The Stars will head to Milwaukee on Saturday, March 22
nd to take on Wisconsin Lutheran College. The match will begin at 12:00 p.m.
