Stars Earn Sweep Over Wabash

River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball was back at home to take on Wabash College.
 
 Results:
  Dominican: 3
  Wabash: 0

  How it Happened:
  -DU would jump out to a 6-4 lead after a 3-0 run from Senior Nathaniel Cossyleon.
  -The Stars closed out Set 1, 25-23. Senior Tanner Dahman posted 4 kills and a block in the frame with Freshman Landon Diaz collecting 3 blocks.
  -After Wabash took a 7-11 lead in Set 2, a 5-1 run from Dominican would knot the set at 12 all.
  -DU would win the 2nd set, 25-20. Sophomore Ty Geschke notched 4 kills and 3 blocks in the 2nd. Sophomore Thomas Hirsch tallied 2 blocks.
  -The Stars would take a 12-9 lead in Set 3 after a 4-0 run from Freshman Landon Kassulke.
  -Dominican would complete the sweep over Wabash by taking the 3rd set, 29-27. Junior Tyler Vrska registered 4 digs in the final frame.
  -DU hit .279 collectively compared to Wabash's .135. The Stars continued their dominance at the net, out-blocking Wabash 11-5.

  Shining Stars:
  -Senior Tanner Dahman led the Stars' attack, netting 13 kills on .684 hitting while also posting 2 aces and 8 digs.
  -Sophomore Ty Geschke tallied 11 kills on .400 hitting on top of 4 blocks.
  -Freshman Landon Diaz registered 8 total blocks, marking 18 blocks over his past 2 matches.
  -Freshman Landon Kassulke dished 33 assists.
  -Junior Tyler Vrska contributed 8 digs.

  What's Next:
  Dominican University Men's Volleyball improves to 7-7 on the season and is 3-1 in NACC play. The Stars will be back in action on Saturday, March 8th for a doubleheader in the Igini Sports Forum. The first match sees DU take on Loras at 1:00 p.m. before facing Rockford at 4:00 p.m.
