River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball finished their busy weekend by facing Loras College and Rockford University at home on Saturday.
Match 1 vs. Loras:

How it Happened:
-Loras would jump out to a quick 2-6 lead in the 1
st set.
-Dominican would storm back to take a 20-17 lead, but the Duhawks would swing momentum back in their favor and take Set 1, 23-25. Sophomore
Ty Geschke tallied 3 kills and 2 aces in the opening frame.
-Set 2 would see the Stars take a 15-8 lead after tough serving from Senior
Tanner Dahman and Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon.
-Loras would regain their footing in the set, taking the 2
nd, 30-32 after a 0-3 run. Cossyleon registered 6 kills in the 2
nd.
-Dominican would fall behind 3-7 to begin the 3
rd set.
-The Stars were unable to reassert themselves into the set and dropped Set 3, 18-25.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon notched 11 kills on .350 hitting while collecting an ace and 6 digs.
-Sophomore
Ty Geschke tallied 10 kills, 2 aces, and 4 digs.
-Senior
Tanner Dahman posted 7 kills and 2 blocks.
-Freshman
Landon Kassulke finished with 30 assists and 4 digs.
-Junior
Tyler Vrska commanded the back row with 9 digs.

How it Happened:
-The Stars would propel themselves to a 10-5 lead after a 3-0 run from Freshman
Landon Kassulke.
-DU would continue to click and win the first set, 25-16. Junior
Michael Greco posted 5 kills in Set 1, with Freshman
Kendall Esparza notching 4 kills on 5 attempts.
-After falling behind 5-9 in Set 2, Dominican would go on a 6-1 run powered by Senior
Jason Kougan at the service line.
-Kougan would then go on a 6-0 run and lead the Stars to a win in the 2
nd set, 25-18. Senior
Aaron Marrs collected 4 kills in the 2
nd.
-A 7-0 run from Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon would push DU out to a 9-2 lead in Set 3.
-The Stars would close out the match in straight sets, winning the 3
rd, 25-18. Sophomore
Richie Johnson registered 5 kills in the final frame, with Cossyleon adding 5 kills and an ace.
-DU hit .383 collectively in the match, their highest mark of the 2025 season.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon paced the Stars' offense, totaling 10 kills while adding 4 aces, 2 blocks, and 3 digs.
-Junior
Michael Greco contributed 8 kills on a .800 hitting clip and 5 blocks.
-Sophomore
Richie Johnson registered a career-high 6 kills in his first appearance of the 2025 season.
-Senior
Owen Morrow distributed 14 assists in the victory.
-Sophomore
Grant Henderson finished with 7 digs.

Dominican University Men's Volleyball moves to 8-8 on the season and is 4-1 in NACC play. The Stars will finish their four-game homestand on Tuesday, March 11
