How it Happened:
-DU would hold an 11-9 advantage in the 1
st set after a 3-0 run by Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch.
-The Stars took the opening set, 27-25. Sophomore
Ty Geschke posted 7 kills on .778 hitting.
-Illinois Tech would storm back in the beginning of Set 2, claiming a 7-12 advantage.
-Dominican was unable to claw back in the 2
nd, dropping it 16-25. Junior
Michael Greco tallied 3 kills and a solo block in the frame.
-Trailing 19-22 in Set 3, the Stars would side out, and Senior
Owen Morrow would go on a 5-0 run to steal the set for DU, 25-22. Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon notched 6 kills and a block in the 3
rd.
-Dominican would then close out the match in the 4
th set, 25-17. Hirsch registered 3 kills and a block in the final frame.
-DU hit .287 collectively compared to Illinois Tech's .208 and out-blocked the Scarlet Hawks 9.5 to 3.

Ty Geschke posted a team high 17 kills on .378 hitting while adding 4 block assists.
-Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon tallied 11 kills on .308 hitting.
-Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch collected 9 kills and 4 block assists.

Owen Morrow totaled 24 assists along with 22 from Freshman
Landon Kassulke.
-Freshman
Kendall Esparza had 6 kills on .625 hitting paired with 6 digs.

Dominican University Men's Volleyball improves to 9-8 on the season and is 5-1 in NACC play. The Stars will head to Benedictine University on Saturday, March 15
th to take on the Eagles. The match is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
