De Pere, Wis. – The Dominican University Softball team hit the road after a non-conference split on Wednesday night for a doubleheader against St. Norbert College.
Game 1 Results:

How it Happened:
-Both teams were held scoreless and not getting a baserunner past second base until the third inning when the Stars got on the board in the top of the third inning. Senior
Liliana Santoyo brought home the first run with a RBI single that scored Senior
Hanna Voegtle. Freshman
Isabella Olmos followed up the RBI single with a two-run homerun, giving DU a 3-0 lead.
-The Green Knights answered in the bottom of the fourth with back-to-back solo homeruns.
St. Norbert tied the game up in the bottom of the 6
th scoring a run on a hit.
-SNC walked-off Dominican in the bottom of the seventh scoring a run on two hits in the inning.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman
Isabella Olmos led the Stars going 1-3 with 2 RBIs, a run scored and a homerun.
-Senior
Liliana Santoyo went 2-2 with a walk, an RBI, 2 stolen bases, and a run scored.
-Senior
Emma Woodhouse went 6.1 third innings and added 7 strikeouts to her name.

How it Happened:
-The Stars took the game one loss personal, and came out and scored 5 runs in the top of the first of game two.
-Freshman
Isabella Olmos got the party started with a 2 RBI single that scored Freshman
Sara Cornell and Senior
Liliana Santoyo. Junior
Paytin Salfi drove in the next two runs with a fly ball that was dropped in right field that scored Junior
Ryley Davis and Olmos. Senior
Gillian Czubernat followed it up with an RBI single scoring Sophomore
Kailee Diaz Randall.
-St. Norbert answered in their half of the first scoring 3 runs on 4 hits.
-Dominican got a run back in the second with Diaz Randall hitting a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Ry. Davis.
-DU exploded offensively scoring 6 runs on 5 hits in the top of the third inning.
-Santoyo started the inning with a 2 RBI double that scored Czubernat, and Senior
Hanna Voegtle. Olmos brought in the third run of the inning with an RBI single that scored Santoyo. Diaz Randall jumped into the hit parade with an RBI double that scored Olmos. The final two runs of the inning were brought in by Junior
Paytin Salfi on a 2 RBI single scoring Diaz Randall and Freshman
Raegyn Davis.
-The Green Knights responded in the 3
rd scoring 2 runs on 2 hits.
-The Stars bats remained hot with their third inning of scoring five or more runs in the 5
th scoring 5 runs on 5 hits.
-Sophomore
Alyssa Craig brought in the first run on an error by the shortstop that scored Sophomore Tresea Scanlon. Freshman
Sara Cornell followed it up with an RBI single that scored Junior
Leilani Guzman. The Freshman show continued with Freshman
Madisen Butler stepping up in another clutch situation hitting a 2 RBI single that scored Craig and Cornell. Sophomore
Emme Slavens got a pinch-hit opportunity and came up in big way hitting an RBI double that brought home Santoyo.
-SNC answered back with two runs on two hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Isabella Olmos led the Stars once again going 2-4 with 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored
-Junior
Paytin Salfi collected 3 RBIs on a hit.
-Senior
Liliana Santoyo continued the hot bat going 3-5 with 2 RBIs, 3 runs scored, and 2 doubles.
-Freshman
Madisen Butler went 2-2 with 2 RBIs.

Kailee Diaz Randall had a break out game going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs and a double.
-Freshman
Sara Cornell notched Star of the game going 3-3 with an RBI, a hit-by-pitch, and 2 runs scored.

Emme Slavens clutched up in her pinch-hit at-bat going 1-1 with an RBI and a double.
-Senior
Gillian Czubernat went 1-2 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored.
-Junior
Ryley Davis went 2-2 with a walk and 2 runs scored.

Raegyn Davis went 2-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.
-Freshman
Rhiannon Rubio came in relief for Dominican and threw exceptionally going 4.1 innings and collecting 7 strikeouts.

What's Next:
Dominican University Softball moves to 19-7 on the season 10-2 in the NACC and 7-1 on the road. The Stars will be right back in action Saturday afternoon with another road NACC doubleheader at Wisconsin Lutheran College. First pitch between the Stars and the Warriors is set 12:00 p.m.
