Fond Du Lac, Wis. – Dominican University Softball was on the road at Marian for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader.

How it Happened:
-It would take until the top of the third inning for DU to open the scoring, taking a 1-0 lead after a single by Freshman
Raegyn Davis and a triple by Freshman
Isabella Olmos.
-Senior
Emma Woodhouse then doubled in the top of the fourth, but the Stars were unable to bring her home.
-In the top of the fifth inning, an error by the Marian defense allowed Olmos and Freshman
Kayla Amormino to score, extending the Dominican lead to 3-0. Senior
Priscylla Rutter then doubled to center, scoring Junior
Paytin Salfi, giving the Stars a 4-0 advantage.
-Woodhouse pitched a 1-2-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning, earning two outs via groundout and a flyout.
-In the bottom of the seventh, Woodhouse struck two Sabres out en route to a 4-0 Stars victory.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Emma Woodhouse (W, 6-3) pitched a complete game shutout, only allowing 3 hits while racking up 6 strikeouts. Woodhouse also went 3-4 at the plate, including a double.

Ryley Davis was 2-3 at the plate with a walk.

Raegyn Davis finished 2-4 with a run scored.

Liliana Santoyo, giving the Stars a 2-0 lead early.
-A Santoyo single in the top of the second inning scored Junior
Paytin Salfi and extended the lead to 3-0.
-In the top of the third inning, Dominican pushed their lead out to 5-0 after Sophomore
Kailee Diaz Randall belted an RBI double to the outfield, followed by an RBI single by Senior
Hanna Voegtle.
-Senior
Emma Woodhouse would reach home after an error while fielding a single by Freshman
Raegyn Davis.
-Sophomore
Liberty Rivard entered the game for the Stars for Freshman
Rhiannon Rubio, who pitched 5 scoreless innings.
-The Stars completed the sweep on the day, winning Game 2 by a final score of 6-0.
