How it Happened:

-Benedictine answered back in the top of the third, knotting the contest at 1-1.

-The Eagles gained the lead at 2-1 in the top of the fourth on two hits.
-Olmos picked up her second hit of the evening in the bottom of the fourth but was left stranded.
-Senior Emma Woodhouse pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the fifth.
-To lead off the bottom of the fifth, Freshman Sara Cornell launched a single to right center. Cornell then reached third after some heads-up baserunning on an error by BenU, but the Stars were unable to capitalize and trailed 2-1 heading into the top of the sixth.
-Benedictine added a solo home run in the top of the sixth and doubled their lead to 3-1.
-In the bottom of the sixth, Ry. Davis reached base on an error with two outs. The bases would then be loaded after Diaz Randall walked, and Cornell was hit by a pitch. All three runners were stranded, sending the game into the top of the seventh.
-BenU added 2 more insurance runs at the top of the seventh, taking a 5-1 advantage over DU.
-Dominican was quickly down to their final out in the bottom of the seventh when Santoyo singled through the middle of the infield.
