River Forest, Ill. The Dominican University Women's Soccer team closed out a three-game homestand on Saturday, hosting Marian University on Homecoming.

How it Happened:
-Marian got the first shot of the match, but Sophomore
Meadow Pratt made a brilliant save to keep the score level.
-Junior
Mackenzie Cuddihy gave the Stars the lead in the 14
th minute of the game with an incredible shot outside of the box, which went bar down and into the net. Seniors
Sierra Rioux and
Natalia Lopez assisted this goal.
-Just three minutes later, Senior Rioux buries her first goal of the season to make the score 2-0. Lopez notched her second assist of the game on this goal.
-Right after the second Dominican goal, Senior
Mia Taullahu enters the game for the Stars since her injury. Taullahu did not take long to make an impact in the game, scoring the third goal for DU in the 19
th minute. Rioux gathered the assist on this one.
-Dominican kept the pace up towards the end of the first half, with Junior
Meghan Wilhite firing off three shots.
-The score would be 3-0 in favor of Dominican going into the halftime break. The Stars had 7 shots in the first half.
-The second half had a slow start with no action for the first 12 minutes of the half, and then the match came to a screeching halt with a lightning delay of 30 minutes.
-Once play resumed neither team got into too much of a rhythm, with Marian having two shots the rest of the match and Dominican having three shots by Senior
Kamryn Klinger, Sophomore
Ariana Barney, and Lopez.
-The match ended 3-0 with DU outshooting the Sabres 11-3. 5 of those 11 shots were on target by the Stars.

Shining Stars:
 -Senior
Sierra Rioux collected player of the game for the Stars, playing in 62 minutes of the match and collecting a goal, two assists, and a shot on goal.
-Junior
Mackenzie Cuddihy set the tone for the whole match, scoring in her only shot of the match.
-Senior
Mia Taullahu came in off the bench and made her mark, scoring a goal on her lone shot of the match.
-Senior
Natalia Lopez played in all 90 minutes and recorded two assists with three shots.
-Junior
Meghan Wilhite collected 3 shots, with 1 of them being on target, in her minutes off the bench.
-Sophomore goalkeeper
Meadow Pratt added 2 saves to her name.

What's Next:
Dominican University Women's Soccer moves to 2-3-1 on the season. The Stars will be back in action Monday night with their final non-conference game of the season. DUWSOC will travel to Bloomington, Ill., to face off against the Titans of Illinois Wesleyan. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
