Men's Soccer Looks to Build Momentum against Rockford

River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Soccer looks to build off its first win of the season as the Stars host Rockford on Wednesday.

Series History vs. Rockford:
All-Time Record / Streak: 21-0 / W21
Dominican and Rockford first played in Rockford on 10/3/2002 (W, 6-0).
The Stars have conceded just 2 goals to the Regents over their 21-match history.
DU defeated Rockford 3-0 on the road in their last match on 10/22/2024.

DU in Review:
-DU holds a 1-4-2 (1-1 NACC) record this season.
-Dominican finished the 2024 season with a 12-5-4 record, including going 8-1-3 in conference and 7-2-2 at home.

-Senior Ryan Gutierrez is joint-top goal scorer for Dominican with 2 and has started in all 7 matches this season.
 
Familiar Faces:
-Sophomore Nathan Lara is back to don the Navy and Gold as the leading goal scorer among returners from last season with 2. Lara appeared in 6 matches and notched a start during the 2024 campaign.
-Sophomore Jonathan Almaguer returns to the midfield for DU. Almaguer registered a goal and an assist in 14 appearances last season.
-Senior Brendan Gavin resumes his place as the holding midfielder for the Stars. Gavin posted 15 appearances and logged 776 minutes in 2024.
-Junior Ciaran Geraghty looks to step in as a permanent fixture in Dominican's back four after charting 16 appearances and a goal last season.
