Rockford, Ill. – Dominican University Women's Soccer looked to make it three wins in a row at Rockford on Wednesday.

How it Happened:
-The Stars opened the scoring early after Freshman
Liliana Arechiga intercepted a Regent pass and sprung Senior
Sierra Rioux, who was able to slot home her 2
nd of the season in the 3
rd minute.
-Rioux added her second of the day in the 14
th minute after a great run and cross into the box by Senior Mia Tauilahu.
-In the 17
th minute, Arechiga scored her first collegiate goal from the spot to give Dominican a 3-0 lead.
-Senior
Kamryn Klinger scored her first collegiate goal off a scramble in the box after a corner from Sophomore
Ariana Barney in the 21
st minute, extending the DU lead to 4-0.
-Dominican continued to push for more, as Junior
Meghan Wilhite received a cross from Freshman
MK Kluesner and buried her first of the season to make it 5-0 Dominican.
-In the 31
st minute, Freshman
Logan Shanks made a blistering run down the left wing, cut into the box, and put home the Stars' 6
th goal of the first half.
-Wilhite drove home her second of the half in the 39
th minute on the rebound to push the DU advantage to 7-0.
-The Stars took their 7-0 lead into the halftime break. Dominican outshot Rockford 20-1 in the first half, with 10 of those shots finding the target.
-Dominican was happy to see out the result during the second half, maintaining possession throughout the majority of the frame.
-At full-time, DU would walk away victorious by a final score of 7-0. Dominican's 7 goals were the most in a match since 10/23/2024 in a 9-0 win against Rockford at home.
-This marks the first game the Stars held their opponent to zero shots on target since 10/16/2024 in a 4-0 win over Edgewood.
