Men's Soccer Looks to 3 Straight Wins at St. Norbert Saturday Afternoon

De Pere, Wis. – The Dominican University Men's Soccer team wins back-to-back games and looks to create a win streak at St. Norbert on Saturday.

Series History vs. St. Norbert:
All-Time Record / Streak: 7-0-2 /T1
Dominican and St. Norbert first played at West Campus Field on 10/1/2006 (W, 2-0).
-The Stars won the first 5 matchups between the two schools.
-DU has conceded 6 goals in their 9 matchups.
-Dominican and St. Norbert tied 1-1 last season at St. Norbert College.
-The Stars have scored 21 total goals and average 2.33 goals per game against the Green Knights.

DU in Review:

-Freshman Enzo Cinque earned Star of the Game in his 50 minutes off the bench, scoring his first two collegiate goals. Firing 3 shots, 2 of those shots on target.
-Sophomore Jonathan Almaguer continued where he left off on Saturday, scoring 2 goals and collecting an assist. Almaguer also had 7 total shots in the match, with 5 of them on frame.
-Freshman Rogelio Cisneros collected his first two collegiate assists in 56 minutes of play. Cisneros also had 3 shots, 2 of them were on target.
-Senior Ryan Gutierrez has continued to be a leader for the DU squad, picking up an assist in 61 minutes of play. Gutierrez also had a shot on goal in two shots.

-Senior Brendan Gavin resumes his place as the holding midfielder for the Stars. Gavin posted 15 appearances and logged 776 minutes in 2024.
-Junior Ciaran Geraghty looks to step in as a permanent fixture in Dominican's back four after charting 16 appearances and a goal last season.


Scouting Report:
-St. Norbert is 5-4 to start the 2025 season with a 3-0 record in the NACC.
-The Green Knights are riding a 4-game win streak, where they have scored 16 goals and only given up 2 in those 4 games.
-September 9th was SNC last loss to UW Stevens Point 2-0.
-SNC lost their first three matches of the season and did not score a goal until their 2-1 win against Carthage College.
-St. Norbert is 2-2 and 1-0 in NACC play on their home turf.
-The Green Knights have scored 18 goals this season, while their opponents have scored 11 goals. SNC averaged 2 goals per game.
