River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Soccer looked to get their first win of the season at home against Loras College on Wednesday.

How it Happened:
-Junior
Lazar Stamenkovic registered DU's first shot on target in the 27
th minute, but the effort was saved by Loras' keeper.
-In the 32
nd minute, Freshman
Enzo Cinque had a shot that missed just high over the bar.

Cody Leyba made two saves in close to keep the score knotted at 0-0 heading into halftime.
-In the 68
th minute, a foul in the box by the Duhawks' keeper set up a penalty for the Stars. Junior
Tristen Banquil stepped up and slotted home his first of the season to give Dominican a 1-0 advantage.
-Loras struck back quickly in the 70
th minute off a corner, tying the match back up at 1-1.
-Banquil and Stamenkovic had efforts on goal denied by Loras in the waning moments of the match.
-DU and Loras could not be separated as the match settled at a 1-1 draw. The Stars finished the match with 11 shots, while 4 found the target.

Tristen Banquil got off the mark for Dominican, scoring from the spot in the 68
th minute.
