River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team was back in action at home against Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
-Junior
Dean O'Brien put away DU's first bucket on a nice back-door cut and find by Sophomore Ismael Ndiaye, pulling the Stars to within 2.
-After Dominican knotted the game up at 6-6, Concordia Wisconsin began to open up a lead, peaking at 23-8 at the 12-minute mark.
-The Stars began to battle back, with Sophomore
Braydon Murphy working to get to the line, Sophomore
Emmanuel Fuller converting around the rim, and Freshman
Elijah Daugherty connecting from deep.
-The Falcons continued to fire offensively, as DU trailed 50-31 heading into the break.
-Senior
Dominic Crapia knocked down a three to open the second half, followed by a bucket by O'Brien.
-CUW's lead grew as large as 25 at the midpoint of the second half, but was answered by a free throw by Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski and another layup by O'Brien.
-A 9-0 run for the Stars, which included a pair of threes made by Paszkowski, brought Dominican within striking distance, now trailing 81-69.
-The Stars were not able to complete the comeback effort and fell to CUW by a final score of 91-75.
-Dominican shot 38.7% from the field, 22.2% from three, and 47.8% from the line.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Braydon Murphy totaled 17 points and 14 rebounds. This marks Murphy's third double-double of the season, and the Sophomore adds his name once again to the single-game record book in rebounds.
-Freshman
Elijah Daugherty poured in 16 points and 4 assists.
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski notched 12 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
-Junior
Dean O'Brien tallied 11 points and was 5-9 from the floor.

The Dominican University Men's Basketball team moves to 1-16 (1-9 NACC) on the season. The Stars will be back in action after a week off at home on Wednesday, January 28
