River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team closed out a four-game home stand against Edgewood in a Black Out on Saturday afternoon.

Dominican: 69

How it Happened:
-The Stars started hot, taking a 10-2 lead after a pair of threes by Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski and a pair of layups by Sophomore
Braydon Murphy.
-Edgewood battled back and took a 13-12 lead at the midpoint of the first half.
-Freshman
Joseph Jones and Sophomore
Ismael Ndiaye Matheu battled to get the Dominican to within 4, as DU trailed 20-16.
-Murphy, Paszkowski, and Jones all converted in the paint down the stretch, as the Stars would head into halftime behind 31-24.
-The second half started with Dominican closing the gap, as Junior
Dean O'Brien brought a spark to get DU within two.
-The Eagles lead extended to 44-37, but Ndiaye Matheu cut out the momentum with a pair of free throws.
-The Stars kept the game within reach, as Paszkowski knocked down his fourth three of the game at the 4-minute mark to cut the Edgewood lead to 60-53.
-With 1:30 left to go in the game, Dominican found itself down 70-64 after a layup by Ndiaye Matheu.
-Through defensive pressure, the Stars began to close the gap, as Ndiaye Matheu scored 7 points in the span of a minute to cut the Eagle lead to 70-69.
-The Stars had the opportunity to take the lead late, but could not convert in the lane.
-Edgewood put away a pair of free throws after Dominican fouled to extend the game, and DU would ultimately fall by a final of 72-69.
-Dominican shot 40.4% from the field, 26.3% from three, and 85.7% from the line.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski led the way for the Stars, totaling 18 points and was 4-10 from deep.

Braydon Murphy tallied his 4
th double-double of the season via 15 points and 14 rebounds.
-Sophomore
Ismael Ndiaye Matheu registered 13 points and was a perfect 5-5 from the line.
-Freshman
Joseph Jones notched a career-high 10 points and was 4-4 from the free throw line.
