Chicago, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team began a three-game road swing at Illinois Tech on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
-The Stars started the game with a 4-0 run through a three by Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski and a free throw from Sophomore
Braydon Murphy.
-Illinois Tech answered with a 13-0 run, which was ended by a tip-in by Paszkowski.
-Murphy and Sophomore
Emmanuel Fuller added 2-2 trips to the line to bring DU back, trailing 16-11 at the 7-minute mark.
-Before the end of the first half, Junior
James Clay recorded a steal and converted in the lane on the fast break, as Dominican went into the half trailing 27-17.
-The floodgates opened to start the second half, as Paszkowski knocked down back-to-back three pointers to bring the Stars within six.
-Junior
Dean O'Brien and Sophomore
Ismael Ndiaye Matheu joined the scoring and capped a 14-0 run to give DU a 31-29 advantage.
-The Scarlet Hawks went on a 5-0 run to regain the lead, but Freshman
Blaise Brown brought the Stars back within a possession with 11:46 remaining.
-After IIT's lead extended to 48-40, Ndiaye Matheu knocked down four free throws to bring the game within four.
-Both squads traded buckets down the stretch, and Dominican brought the game to 56-54 after a layup by Paszkowski.
-An 8-0 run put the Scarlet Hawks up 65-55 with 1:28 to go.
-The Stars would foul to extend the game, but ultimately fell by a final score of 74-64.
-Dominican shot 37.7% from the field, 23.8% from three, and 79.2% from the line.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski led DU with 18 points on 7-18 shooting.

Braydon Murphy posted his 5
th double-double of the season and second in as many games with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
-Sophomore
Ismael Ndiaye Matheu totaled 10 points and was 4-4 from the line.
-Junior
Dean O'Brien notched 8 points and was 3-4 from the floor.
