Men's Basketball Gears Up for MSOE on Wednesday

River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team hosts the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night.

Series History vs. MSOE:
All-Time Record / Streak: 8-22 / L4
-Dominican and MSOE first played on 2/23/2008 in River Forest, Ill. (W, 70-57).
-The Stars fell to the Raiders earlier this season on December 3rd, by a final score of 96-71 in Milwaukee.
-Dominican's last win over MSOE came on December 13th, 2023 (78-74).
-DU averages 65.8 points per game against MSOE and is 5-10 at home.

DU in Review:
-The Stars are 1-11 (1-4 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-DU is 1-5 at home this campaign.
-Dominican closed the 2024-2025 season with an 8-17 record, including going 5-13 in conference and 5-8 at home.
-The Stars missed out on the NACC Tournament last season and are looking to make it back into the playoff picture for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.
-Head Coach Troy Tonsil enters his 3rd season at the helm of the Men's Basketball program at Dominican. Tonsil has amassed a career record of 18-32.

 
Last Time Out:
 -The Stars fell at the buzzer to Lakeland on Saturday by a final score of 70-69.
 -Freshman Elijah Daugherty dropped a career-high 25 points and paced DU in scoring. The Freshman also added 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
-Sophomore Frank Paszkowski notched 14 points, 4 rebounds, a block, and a steal.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy tallied 13 points and 5 rebounds.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy is averaging almost a double-double this season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 8.9, and is 4th in points per game with 13.0. Murphy also leads DU in assists with 26 and blocks with 21.
-Freshman Elijah Daugherty has provided a spark off the bench for Dominican this season. Daugherty is averaging 13.3 points per game and is shooting .425 from the field.
-Sophomore Frank Paszkowski leads the Stars in three-pointers made with 32 and is shooting .364 behind the arc while dropping 14.0 points per game.
-Freshman Chase LeFevre is 3rd in assists for the Stars, collecting 19 so far in 2025-26.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski rounds out the top five in scoring for DU, dropping an average of 10.2 points per game.

Familiar Faces:
-Senior Dominic Crapia enters his 4th season as a reliable 3-point shooter for the Stars. Crapia shot .359 from beyond the arc in 2024-25 and is in the joint lead in returners with 28 3-pointers made.
-Sophomore Lucas Underwood had a successful start to his collegiate career last campaign, averaging 5.6 points per game and had 28 3-pointers made.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski will return as an integral part of Dominican's frontcourt. Pelszynski averaged 13.2 minutes per game last year alongside 4.5 points per game.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy looks to improve upon a strong freshman season, as the center chipped in 2.7 points per game alongside 2.5 rebounds per game in a more limited role.  

Scouting Report:
-MSOE is 6-6 (4-1 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-The Raiders are 3-2 away from home.
-MSOE earned a 86-69 win over Illinois Tech on Saturday after dropping its previous two games at the D3Hoops classic.
-The Raiders average 82.3 points per game, shoot .511 from the field, .388 from three, and average 36.8 rebounds per game.
