River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team was back on their home court for their second game of a home back-to-back.

How it Happened:
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski got the party started for the Stars, making a three two minutes into the game.
-Paszkowski scored the first 12 points for DU, going 4-4 from downtown in the first five minutes of the game.
-Dominican kept the three-point rolling with Senior
Adrian Pelszynski and Freshman
Joseph Jones joining in making threes.
-MSOE made a run in the late stages of the first half, until Freshman
Chase LeFevre made four straight free throws to take the lead back with just under four minutes to play in the first.
-In the final four minutes both teams went bucket for bucket, and Jones hit the final bucket of the half, being a three, to give the Stars a 36-34 lead at the halftime break.
-The shooting from Paszkowski was the story for the Stars in the first half, scoring 20 points on 6-10 shooting from downtown.
-Paszkowski picked up right where he left off, scoring the first five points in the second half for the Stars, including going 3-3 from the charity stripe.
-The second half was back-and-forth between the two schools before DU pushed out a 7-point lead due to Pelszynski hitting a three, Sophomore
Braydon Murphy making a layup and Paszkowski hitting a jumper in three straight possessions.
-Pelszynski hit another three to give Dominican a 71-66 lead with 45 seconds remaining, but back-to-back Raider buckets pushed the game to overtime.
-The start of overtime was both teams hitting shots. Freshman
Elijah Daugherty tied the game up and took the lead by hitting an and-one three.
-Paszkowski continued to keep the Stars rolling, hitting two mid-range jumpers to give DU an 80-79 lead with two minutes left to play.
-The Raiders went on a run in the last couple minutes of overtime, holding an 85-80 lead with 17 seconds.
-Daugherty made it a one-possession game by making a layup. MSOE turned the ball over off the inbound to give DU a chance to tie the game, but the final shot of the game was blocked, giving MSOE the win.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore-
Frank Paszkowski was the heartbeat of Dominican tonight, scoring 34 points on 12-22 shooting and 7-15 from downtown. This 34-point performance puts the Sophomore in the Dominican Men's Basketball record book, where he is tied for seventh in single-game points, and Paszkowski now has a new career high with 34.
-Senior
Adrian Pelszynski collected 9 points and hit 3 threes in the contest.
-Freshman
Joseph Jones played big minutes off the bench for the Stars, adding 8 points and shot 2-3 from downtown.
-Sophomore
Braydon Murphy earned 9 rebounds and 7 points.

What's Next:
The Dominican University Men's Basketball team moves to 1-12 (1-5 NACC) on the season. The Stars will hit the road for two straight road games. The first will be in Fond Du Lac, Wis., as DU will play Marian University at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 10
th.
