Men's Basketball Prepares for Road Test at Marian

Fond du Lac, Wis. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team begins a set of road games at Marian on Saturday.

Series History vs. Marian:
All-Time Record / Streak: 10-18 / W2
-Dominican and Marian first played on 1/12/2008 in Fond du Lac, Wis. (W, 66-61).
-The Stars took down the Sabres on the road in their only meeting last season on 1/25/2025 (80-74).
-Dominican's largest win streak of three games over Marian spanned from 1/12/2008 – 12/6/2008.
-DU averages 67.9 points per game against Marian and is 4-10 on the road.

DU in Review:
-The Stars are 1-12 (1-5 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-DU is 1-6 at home this campaign.
-Dominican closed the 2024-2025 season with an 8-17 record, including going 5-13 in conference and 5-8 at home.
-The Stars missed out on the NACC Tournament last season and are looking to make it back into the playoff picture for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.
-Head Coach Troy Tonsil enters his 3rd season at the helm of the Men's Basketball program at Dominican. Tonsil has amassed a career record of 18-32.

 
Last Time Out:
 -The Stars came up short in overtime against MSOE on Wednesday by a final score of 85-82.
 -Sophomore Frank Paszkowski dropped a new career-high 34 points in the defeat. Paszkowski's performance put him in a tie for 7th in DU history for most points scored in a single game. The Sophomore went 12-22 from the floor and 7-15 from three.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski added 9 points, a block, and a steal.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy totaled 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy is averaging almost a double-double this season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 8.9, and is 4th in points per game with 12.5. Murphy also leads DU in assists with 28 and blocks with 23.
-Freshman Elijah Daugherty has provided a spark off the bench for Dominican this season. Daugherty is averaging 12.8 points per game and is shooting .416 from the field.
-Sophomore Frank Paszkowski leads the Stars in three-pointers made with 39 and is shooting .379 behind the arc while dropping 15.5 points per game.
-Freshman Chase LeFevre is 3rd in assists for the Stars, collecting 19 so far in 2025-26.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski rounds out the top five in scoring for DU, dropping an average of 10.0 points per game.

Familiar Faces:
-Senior Dominic Crapia enters his 4th season as a reliable 3-point shooter for the Stars. Crapia shot .359 from beyond the arc in 2024-25 and is in the joint lead in returners with 28 3-pointers made.
-Sophomore Lucas Underwood had a successful start to his collegiate career last campaign, averaging 5.6 points per game and had 28 3-pointers made.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski will return as an integral part of Dominican's frontcourt. Pelszynski averaged 13.2 minutes per game last year alongside 4.5 points per game.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy looks to improve upon a strong freshman season, as the center chipped in 2.7 points per game alongside 2.5 rebounds per game in a more limited role.  

Scouting Report:
-Marian is 7-5 (4-2 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-The Sabres are 3-1 at home.
-Marian is off the back of a 66-59 defeat at St. Norbert on Wednesday.
-The Sabres average 69.8 points per game, shoot .437 from the field, .343 from three, and average 35.0 rebounds per game.
