River Forest, Ill.—After a crazy homecoming week, Dominican athletics is having a slow start to the month of October. Don't worry, the action is going to pick up this upcoming week.

Men's Soccer was back on the pitch this past week, with just one conference match against the Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin. The Stars and Falcons played a crazy match on September 30th. Starting with the conditions of rain the entire match. DU found themselves down 1-0 at the break but found their stride in the second half, scoring 3 second-half goals. Junior Jonathan Almaguer scored a goal, and Senior Tristen Banquil collected a brace, including the game-winning goal from a free kick just outside the box. Dominican won 3-2 in the match. DUMSOC will be right back in action this upcoming week, as they will wrap up a 4-game homestand. This week they will host Auora University on October 7th at 4:00 p.m. and Edgewood University on October 10th at 12:00 p.m.

Women's Soccer only played one match this week, as they also had a bye during the weekend. The Stars were at Concordia Wisconsin, and won a high scoring battle against the Falcons, the score being 4-3. CUW got the first goal of the match, but DU responded back quickly with Junior Tia Garr and Freshman Grace Durante scoring to give Dominican a 2-1 lead with 4 minutes to go to the half. The Falcons found the equalizer in the 44th minute of the half to make the score 2-2 at the half. Dominican scored the first two goals of the second half with Graduate Student Sierra Rioux and Junior Sara Knight scoring these goals. CUW cut the Dominican lead in half, but nothing more as Dominican earns a big three points in the conference. DUWSOC is on a three-match win streak and has two big conference matches this week. The first being at Aurora University on Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. the next will be back at West Campus Field as the Stars will host the Eagles of Edgewood University on Saturday at 2:45 p.m.

Women's Volleyball had the busiest week this past week, playing two matches. The first at Benedictine in a conference match, the second match being at North Park University for a non-conference match. Senior Jaylynn Miller collected 6 kills in both matches, but the Stars lost both matches 3-0. DUWVB will continue their 6-game road trip this week at Rockford University on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and the second match being on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

Men's and Women's Cross Country will be back in action on October 17th at the Augustana Interregional Invitational hosted by Augustana University.
