River Forest, Ill. – We are days away from basketball season starting inside the Igini Sports Fourm as soccer's, women's volleyball, and cross country wrap up their 2026 season.

Men's Soccer played two matches this past week as they clinched a berth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament, but first they played their rivals down Division Street on Wednesday afternoon. The Cougars struck first in the match, before Junior Jonathan Almaguer sent a ball into the box from a free kick and Senior Ciaran Geraghty headed it into the back of the net to tie the match up at 1. The match would end in a 1-1 draw in this rivalry. DUMSOC then traveled to Edgewood University for their quarterfinal match, where the Eagles won 4-0 in a match where Dominican outshot Edgewood. The Stars season comes to an end as they fall in the quarterfinals of the NACC tournament.

Women's Soccer was itching to get to the conference tournament, but they first had to focus on the Cougars of Concordia Chicago on Wednesday afternoon. The Stars got out to an incredible start with Senior Meghan Wilhite scoring a goal two minutes into the match, but they did not let up there as Junior Presley Coles scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0. DU would add one more in the 84th minute of the match when Graduate Student Sierra Rioux made it 3-0, which was the final score. DUWSOC set their sights on the NACC tournament after beating their rival and came out firing over the Green Knights of St. Norbert College. The Stars got on the board first with Freshman Grace Durante scoring in the 24th minute of the match to give Dominican a lead. Junior Tia Garr wanted to get in on the action and did just that scoring her 8th goal of the season in the 33rd minute of the match. The Stars went into the half leading 2-0, but that did not stop them from scoring 2 more goals in the first four minutes of action in the second half. Freshman Kaylie Reeve scored her 5th goal of the season in the 48th minute, and Garr buried her second goal of the match just one minute later. DUWSOC advanced 4-0 and will now host the third-seeded MSOE Raiders on November 3rd at 1:00p.m. at West Campus Field. If Dominican wins, they will move to the conference tournament final that will take place on Saturday, November 7th.
