Men's Basketball Travels to Lakeland on Saturday

Plymouth, Wis. – Dominican University Men's Basketball gets set to travel to Lakeland for a matinee game against the Muskies on Lakeland.

Series History vs. Lakeland:
All-Time Record / Streak: 6-22 / L3
-Dominican and Lakeland first played on 2/2/2008 in River Forest, Ill. (W/OT, 68-55).
-The Stars fell to the Muskies on a buzzer-beater in the previous matchup this season on 1/3/2026 (70-69).
-Dominican's last win over Lakeland came in a 104-100 OT shootout on 2/7/2024.
-DU averages 71.2 points per game against the Muskies and is 2-11 on the road.

DU in Review:
-The Stars are 1-19 (1-12 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-DU is 1-10 at home this campaign.
-Dominican closed the 2024-2025 season with an 8-17 record, including going 5-13 in conference and 5-8 at home.
-The Stars missed out on the NACC Tournament last season and are looking to make it back into the playoff picture for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.
-Head Coach Troy Tonsil enters his 3rd season at the helm of the Men's Basketball program at Dominican. Tonsil has amassed a career record of 18-32.

 
Last Time Out:
 -The Stars suffered a defeat at the hands of Illinois Tech on Wednesday by a final score of 74-64.
 -Sophomore Frank Paszkowski registered a team-leading 18 points on 7-18 shooting.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy posted his 5th double-double of the season and second in as many games with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
-Sophomore Ismael Ndiaye Matheu totaled 10 points and was 4-4 from the line.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy is averaging almost a double-double this season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 8.8, and is 4th in points per game with 12.3. Murphy also leads DU in blocks with 30 and is 2nd in assists with 36. The sophomore is 1st in the NACC in blocks and is 4th in the conference in rebounds per game.
-Freshman Elijah Daugherty has provided a spark off the bench for Dominican this season. Daugherty is averaging 12.9 points per game and is shooting .421 from the field.
-Sophomore Frank Paszkowski leads the Stars in three-pointers made with 59 and is shooting .355 behind the arc while dropping 15.1 points per game. Paszkowski leads the conference in three-pointers made.
-Sophomore Ismael Ndiaye Matheu has paced the Stars in playmaking, tallying a team-high 38 assists on the season.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski rounds out the top five in scoring for DU, dropping an average of 8.4 points per game.

Familiar Faces:
-Senior Dominic Crapia enters his 4th season as a reliable 3-point shooter for the Stars. Crapia shot .359 from beyond the arc in 2024-25 and is in the joint lead in returners with 28 3-pointers made.
-Sophomore Lucas Underwood had a successful start to his collegiate career last campaign, averaging 5.6 points per game and had 28 3-pointers made.
-Senior Adrian Pelszynski will return as an integral part of Dominican's frontcourt. Pelszynski averaged 13.2 minutes per game last year alongside 4.5 points per game.
-Sophomore Braydon Murphy looks to improve upon a strong freshman season, as the center chipped in 2.7 points per game alongside 2.5 rebounds per game in a more limited role.  

Scouting Report:
-Lakeland is 7-14 (5-9 NACC) on the 2025-2026 season.
-The Muskies are 2-7 at home.
-Lakeland has dropped its last two games, falling to Rockford and MSOE.
-The Muskies average 76.0 points per game, shoot .417 from the field, .308 from three, and average 31.1 rebounds per game
