River Forest, Ill. – RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball returned to the Igini Sports Forum on Saturday afternoon for a NACC battle against St. Norbert.

How it Happened:
-The Stars got off to a hot start and opened the match with a 10-4 advantage.
-A kill by Graduate Student
Casey Goss and a block between Goss and Junior
Thomas Hirsch helped propel the DU lead to 17-9.
-Dominican continued to cushion its lead in the opening frame, as Freshman
Austin Rynberg and Sophomore
Kendall Esparza added kills down the stretch.
-DU took the opening frame by a score of 25-15. Hirsch and Goss combined for 10 kills in Set 1.
-After the Green Knights evened the score at 3-3 in the early stages of Set 2, the Stars began to take over, rattling off a 7-2 run through strong hitting by Esparza and Junior
Ty Geschke.
-Geschke and Esparza dominated at the service line in the second set, each recording a pair of aces in the frame.
-DU pushed its lead to 20-12 after Sophomore
Landon Diaz entered the match and put away an overpass. The Stars had no issue closing out the second set through a 4-0 run and took the frame by a score of 25-15.
-St. Norbert fought back to start the third, with the set all square at 8-8 after a kill by Goss.
-With the Stars trailing 17-16, SNC went on a 4-0 run, creating breathing room in the later stages of the frame.
-Dominican could not close the match out in straight sets, dropping the third by a score of 25-21. Goss added another 4 kills in Set 3.
-Motivated to earn the victory, DU opened the fourth set with an 8-2 lead, highlighted by an ace from Hirsch.
-The Stars looked to keep St. Norbert at bay and received contributions around the court while pushing their advantage to 17-11.
-A 5-0 run from Esparza, which included 4 straight aces, sealed the match for DU, as Dominican took the fourth set by a final score of 25-15.
-This match marked the first time this season that DU was not aced, and the team's hitting percentage of .447 was their highest mark since its five-set victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point on 2/21/2026 (.500).

-Graduate Student
Casey Goss took home Star of the Match honors with a team-high 14 kills on .478 hitting and added 5 digs.
-Sophomore
Kendall Esparza notched 10 kills and entered a tie for second all-time for aces in a single match with 7.
-Junior
Ty Geschke and Junior
Thomas Hirsch combined for 22 kills (11 each) and 5 blocks.
-Sophomore
Landon Kassulke dished 45 assists in the four-set victory.

RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball improved to 14-5 (6-2 NACC) on the 2026 season. The Stars will be back on the road on Tuesday, March 24
