Fond du Lac, Wis. – RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball looked to extend its win streak to five matches at Marian on Saturday night.

How it Happened:
-The opening of the match saw the Stars jump out to an 8-4 lead after Sophomore
Kendall Esparza and Sophomore
Landon Diaz combined on a block.
-A 5-0 run at the line by Esparza, which included kills by Junior
Ty Geschke and Junior
Thomas Hirsch extended Dominican's lead to 16-7.
-DU reached a 22-10 advantage after a kill by Diaz.
-The Stars had no trouble closing the set, taking the opener by a score of 25-12. Hirsch totaled 4 kills in the opening frame.
-After falling behind 4-1 to start the second set, the Stars settled in and evened the score up at 6-6 after a kill by Hirsch.
-Dominican began to impose themselves in the middle of the frame, as a 4-0 run by Graduate Student
Casey Goss at the line and a 4-1 run shortly after set DU up with a 16-13 lead in the second.
-Clutch hitting by Goss down the stretch of the second set closed out a 25-19 win for the Stars in Set 2. Goss totaled 4 kills in the second.
-The Stars got out to a hot start over Marian in Set 3, taking a 10-1 lead after strong serving by Esparza and Goss.
-Timely kills by Goss and Diaz held the Sabres at bay, as DU held a 15-6 advantage at the middle portion of the third set.
-Both squads began to trade side outs as Dominican inched closer to the victory.
-A 3-0 run at the end of the match by Esparza sealed the victory for the Stars, who took the third set by a score of 25-20.
-The Stars had 41 kills to Marian's 25 and had 7 blocks to the Sabres' 4.
Shining Stars:
-Junior Thomas Hrisch notched a team-high 13 kills on .684 hitting and added an ace and two blocks.
-Graduate Student
Casey Goss totaled 8 kills, 7 digs, and 3 blocks.
-Sophomore
Kendall Esparza collected 8 kills and an ace.
-Sophomore
Landon Kassulke dished 29 assists in the sweep.
-Junior
Grant Henderson led the Stars defensively with 11 digs.

What's Next:
RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball improved to 17-5 (8-2 NACC) on the 2026 season. The Stars will host Benedictine on Wednesday, April 1
st, in a Blue Out at the Igini Sports Forum. Students who arrive in blue can receive free pizza at the match. DU and BenU will get underway at 6:00 p.m.
