Milwaukee, Wis. – The Dominican University men's volleyball team had three players selected to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Tournament Team.
Junior
Grant Henderson was the first player named to the NACC All-Tournament Team, not only was Henderson nominated to the All-Tournament Team, but he was also named the NACC Tournament MVP. The Junior libero for the Stars has been a huge success on the defensive end for Dominican all season long. In the NACC Quarter-Final match against Illinois Tech Grant earned 8 digs and 2 assists in the three-set win over the Scarlett Hawks. Henderson only grew from that point on during the tournament. In the NACC Semi-Final match against Aurora, the junior collected 10 digs and 6 assists. In the NACC Final Henderson had his best performance yet with 14 digs, being the leader of the match in the category. Grant also collected 2 assists.
Junior
Ty Geschke was the next player named to the NACC All-Tournament Team. In the NACC Quarter-Final match against Illinois Tech, Geschke earned 11 kills while hitting .280 in the match. The junior also collected 3 blocks and 7 digs. In the NACC Semi-Final match against Auora, Ty picked up 19 kills while hitting .375. Geschke also earned 2 service aces, 2 blocks, and 11 digs. In the NACC Final against MSOE, the junior outside hitter collected 13 kills while hitting .267 for the match. Ty also earned 1 assist, 2 blocks, and 8 digs in the match.
Sophomore
Kendall Esparza was the final Dominican player named to the NACC All-Tournament Team. In the NACC Quarter-Final match against Scarlett Hawks, Esparza grabbed 8 kills while hitting .467. The sophomore also picked up 1 ace and 7 digs. In the NACC Semi-Final match against the Spartans, Kendall earned 15 kills while hitting .323 in the match. Esparza also earned 4 aces and 13 digs in the match. In the NACC Final against the Raiders, the sophomore outside hitter collected 9 kills while hitting .429 in the match. Esparza also earned 2 assists, 2 aces, a block, and 4 digs in the match.
