Franklin, Wis.—The Dominican University Softball team hit the road for their second straight road series to start off a big weekend for the Stars.

How it Happened:
- Both teams were held scoreless in the top of the first inning, and DU did not get their first hit of the game until the second inning, with Sophomore
Madisen Butler hitting a single to right field.
-The score remained 0-0 until the top of the fourth inning when Dominican pulled off a double steal that Senior
Leilani Guzman scored on, while Freshman
Charlie Harris got to second base on. Harris came around to score a double by Sophomore
Sara Cornell.
-DU took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the fourth inning, and that is all Sophomore starting pitcher
Hannah Richards needed as she continued her incredible season. Richards did get herself out of a jam in the bottom of the fourth inning, leaving two runners on base in the inning.
-The Stars had all the momentum and put up a 4-spot in the fifth inning.
-The inning started with Sophomore
Isabella Olmos hitting a leadoff single. Sophomore
Raegyn Davis brought home the first run of the inning on a single to centerfield. Junior
Emme Slavens grounded out to the pitcher but brought home Sophomore
Tamaih Jefferson who was running for Rae. Davis. Harris continued the big inning with a double to left-center field, scoring Senior
Ryley Davis. Butler brought home Harris on a single down the right-field line.
-Richards kept rolling in the fifth, getting the Warriors in order in the bottom of the fifth inning.
-Rae. Davis made it three straight innings scoring with Rae. Davis hit an RBI double down the left field line, scoring Olmos and Senior
Paytin Salfi.
-Junior
Liberty Rivard came in for Richards in the 6
th inning and left two runners on base in the 6
th inning and secured the 8-0 victory.

Isabella Olmos earned Star of the Game going 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases for the Stars.

Raegyn Davis exploded with 3 RBIs and went 2-4 with a double.

Ryley Davis has continued her incredible season, going 2-4 with a run scored

How it Happened:
-Stars kept the momentum rolling from the game one win, with Senior
Paytin Salfi starting the inning off with a double to right field. Senior
Ryley Davis brought home Salfi on an RBI single to left field.
-DU took a 1-0 lead to the top of the third inning before Dominican put up a two-spot in the inning. Salfi tripled to right field scoring, Sophomore
Isabella Olmos. Sophomore
Raegyn Davis followed it up with an RBI single to left field, scoring Salfi.
-Sophomore
Rhiannon Rubio kept the scoreless streak going by getting WLC 1-2-3 in the bottom of the third inning.
-Dominican continued to apply pressure in the top of the fourth inning. Olmos brought home the first run of the fourth inning with two outs. Olmos hit a double to left center field, scoring Sophomore
Sara Cornell from second base. Salfi continued her fantastic game, two hitting a single to left field. Salfi and Olmos then pulled off another double steal that resulted in Olmos scoring before Salfi was tagged out to end the inning.
-The Stars took a 5-0 lead to the bottom of the fourth inning, with Rubio getting the Warriors for the second straight inning.
-The Stars did not let the foot off the gas, scoring 6 runs in the top of the fifth inning. The inning started with Rae. Davis singled to left field, Junior
Alyssa Craig ran for Rae. Davis. Craig would come around to score, with Harris hitting an RBI single to left field. Junior pinch hitter Mariah Fogerson-McCoy followed it up with an RBI single to center field, scoring Ry. Davis. The inning continued with Cornell hitting a double to left field that brought home Harris and Junior
Emme Slavens. Dominican did not stop there, with Olmos following it up with an RBI single to center field that scored Junior
Tatyana Colon. The final run of the inning came off the bat of Sophomore
Mariana Ponce hitting an RBI single to left field, scoring Cornell.

Liberty Rivard came into pitch for the Stars and closed the door, throwing a scoreless inning.

Dominican University Softball moves to 17-11 on the season and 11-3 in conference play. The Stars are now in first place in the NACC standings and have a chance to build on that lead, tomorrow hosting the Sabres of Marian University at the Stadium at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex. The first pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
