How it Happened:

Sophomore Isabella Olmos followed it up with a double down the left field line, but the Stars stranded runners on second and third in the inning.
-Junior Liberty Rivard started in the circle for the Stars and only allowed one hit through the first four innings of the game and kept DU step for step against the Eagles.
- Butler got Dominican on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth inning with a double to center field that scored Freshman Charlie Harris from second base.
-The Stars got a big insurance run on a sacrifice fly by Senior Ryley Davis, scoring Freshman Adison Hasse.
-Rivard got the ball to start the top of the 7th inning and got the first two outs, but having two BenU runners on base, the Stars turned the ball over to Sophomore Hannah Richards, who came into the game to get the final out of the game and did just that on four pitches.
