Milwaukee, Wis. – Junior Alex Garcia of the Dominican University Baseball team earned NACC All-Conference Honorable Mention on Thursday afternoon.

Garcia, a Tremont, Illinois native, had his biggest jump in a Dominican University uniform so far. Alex hit .260 while being the primary catcher this past season for the Stars. The junior played in 33 games while starting in 31 of those games and earned 27 hits, with 6 doubles, 3 homeruns, 15 RBIs, and 42 total bases. On the defensive end, Garcia put up a .975 fielding percentage with 243 chances.


Head Coach Steve Hardman commented on Garcia's achievement by saying, "I am very proud of Alex and the season he has this year. He has been preparing for a season like this over the last two years and everything really came together for him. We are looking for big things next year."
