Zach Helein of the Dominican University Baseball team received NACC All-Conference Second Team honors on Thursday afternoon.
Helein, a Las Vegas, Nevada native, continued to be a staple in the Dominican University lineup all season long and for all four years while at DU. Zach led the team in batting average with a .378 average. The senior outfielder played in all 37 games and started in all 37 games this season, while holding 56 hits, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, 20 RBIs, and 70 total bases. Helein also put up gold glove numbers in center field, recording a .972 fielding percentage on 109 chances.

Steve Hardman commented on Helein's second team nomination by saying, "I am happy that Zach got the recognition for his great season. He was our most consistent player this year and really had a great 4-year career with the Stars. He will be missed roaming the outfield for us."
