River Forest, Ill.—The Dominican University Men's Volleyball team had 5 members named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America and All-District teams in Division III.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in five divisions—NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
The College Division is comprised of institutions from two-year colleges, Canadian institutions, and other institutions who are not affiliated with the NCAA and NAIA divisions.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 7 (women) and July 8 (men).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure. The College Division Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) governance structure.

The first Dominican University Men's Volleyball member to make the CSC Academic All-District team was Senior
Tyler Vrska. Vrska graduated with a degree in marketing and sports management. Tyler held a 3.65 GPA through his 8 semesters here at Dominican University. On the court, the senior libero had 72 digs in his 83 sets played while battling through injury a portion of the season. Vrska was also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and did multiple community services times throughout his season and time at DU.
Junior
Thomas Hirsch was the next member named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Hirsch is a computer science major with a 3.71 GPA in his 6 semesters in River Forest, Illinois. Thomas was a force on the court this past season, being an All-American. He had a .464 hitting percentage and collected 258 kills as a middle blocker. Thomas also recorded 38 aces with 103 blocks, 24 of those being solo blocks.
The third member to make the CSC Academic All-District team is Sophomore
Kendall Esparza. Esparza is a nursing major that currently holds a .389 GPA in his first two years at Dominican. The Lancaster, California native thrived in his sophomore season, leading the team in aces with 53 on the season. Kendall played and started all 29 matches this season and recorded 295 kills with a .346 hitting percentage. Kendall earned himself Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) first-team all-conference.
the next member of the Dominican University Men's Volleyball team to make the CSC Academic All-District team is Sophomore
Landon Kassulke. The Minnesota native is a data science major with a 3.68 GPA in his four semesters at DU. Landon has earned Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) academic All-American both years he has been in River Forest. The sophomore setter posted 1034 assists this season with 9.94 assists per set; on the defensive end, Landon was second on the team in blocks with 54 blocks.
The final member to make the CSC Academic All-District team is Junior
Grant Henderson. Grant is a math and architectural engineering major currently holding a 3.8 GPA and being on the dean's list every semester at Dominican. Henderson got the bulk of the reps as Libero this season and stood out in a big way with 257 digs and 2.52 digs per set. In both categories, he led the team. The junior from Lisle, Illinois, also had 56 assists on the season.
