Milwaukee, Wis. - The Dominican University women's soccer program finished in the top three of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Preseason Poll that was released Wednesday afternoon.
The Stars finished with 283 points in the poll and one first place vote. They finished behind Illinois Tech who had 23 first place votes and 335 points, then MSOE with two first place votes and 308 points. DUWSOC finished ahead of CUW with 248 points and Edgewood with 246 points, these 5 schools rounded out the top 5. The rankings of the league's head coaches and head athletic communications professionals vote on the Preseason Polls.
During the 2025 season, DU finished the season with a 12-6-1 overall record, with a NACC record of 9-3. The Stars were 6-2-1 at West Campus Field. After the completion of the regular season, the Stars finished as the 4th seed in the NACC tournament, where they hosted the 5th seed, Concordia University Wisconsin, and won 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. This is where DU fell 4-0 to the 1-seeded Illinois Tech on the road.
The Dominican University women's soccer program will kick off their 2026 season taking part in the Wheaton College Tournament. The Stars will play two matches in this tournament. The first being a neutral site match against Greenville University on September 4th at 4:30 p.m. The second against the host school Wheaton College on Saturday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m.
